Off-Diagonal Magnetoimpedance in Annealed Amorphous Microwires with Positive Magnetostriction: Effect of External Stresses

نویسندگان

چکیده

It was observed recently that the giant magnetoimpedance (GMI) effect in Fe-rich glass-coated amorphous microwires with positive magnetostriction can be improved significantly by means of post-annealing. The increase GMI is attributed to induced helical magnetic anisotropy surface layer microwire, which appears after annealing. application external stresses microwire may result changes its structure and affect response. In this work, we study theoretically influence tensile torsional on off-diagonal annealed magnetostriction. static magnetization distribution analyzed terms core–shell structure. impedance tensor obtained taking into account magnetoelastic stresses. shown response exhibits strong sensitivity magnitude applied stress. results useful for sensor applications microwires.

Improvement of the off-diagonal magnetoimpedance sensor white noise

This work deals with the analysis of noise sources of the off-diagonal magneto-impedance sensor with stressannealed amorphous ribbon. This experimental analysis shows that the equivalent magnetic noise spectral density is mostly due to the electronic conditioning circuitry that operates the sensor. The electronic noise was then reduced with employment of an improved excitation-detection techniq...

GMI Effect of Ultra-Soft Magnetic Soft Amorphous Microwires

In this paper we experimentally studied GMI effect and soft magnetic behavior of Co-rich microwires. Correlation between magnetoelastic anisotropy and magnetic field dependences of diagonal and off-diagonal impedance components are observed. Low field GMI hysteresis, explained in terms of magnetoelastic anisotropy of microwires, has been suppressed by the bias current.

Longitudinally driven giant magnetoimpedance effect in stress-annealed Fe-based nanocrystalline ribbons

A high-frequency longitudinally driven giant magnetoimpedance ~GMI! effect has been measured in stress-annealed Fe73Cu1Nb1.5V2Si13.5B9 nanocrystalline ribbons. Based on how the impedance phase varies with the external magnetic field, it becomes clear that the imaginary part of the complex permeability, m9, which is related to magnetic losses, plays an important role in the high-frequency longit...

Domain Wall Propagation in Bistable Amorphous Microwires

Tendency on miniaturization of the modern magnetic sensors and devices stimulates development of such magnetic materials with reduced dimensionality. Therefore magnetic materials with outstanding magnetic characteristics and reduced dimensionality recently gained much attention. Consequently thin wire with reduced geometrical dimensions (of order of 1-30 μm in diameter) gained importance within...

construction of vector fields with positive lyapunov exponents

in this thesis our aim is to construct vector field in r3 for which the corresponding one-dimensional maps have certain discontinuities. two kinds of vector fields are considered, the first the lorenz vector field, and the second originally introced here. the latter have chaotic behavior and motivate a class of one-parameter families of maps which have positive lyapunov exponents for an open in...
